Chester Cathedral – The Nave

Chester Cathedral nave, one of many Chester paintings by Julie Colclough and the fourth featuring the Cathedral.

Chester Cathedral gave one of Julie’s Cathedral pictures to the Duke of Westminster and Olivia Henson on the occasion of their marriage in the Cathedral in June 2024.

Julie was invited to sketch in the cathedral and began this study on site before completing it in our studio/gallery on Watergate Row in the heart of Chester.

The original pen and watercolour painting is now beautifully framed and available to purchase in the gallery. This series of original pen and watercolour studies represent great value for those seeking original artwork at an affordable price. £575 (Frame size 48cm x 57cm). Smaller limited editions available from £100 in a presentation mount ready for framing.

Visit the gallery or contact us to reserve, order or enquire.

Julie Colclough’s first paintings of the cathedral sold very quickly but several are available in small editions of 50 or 75 prints. See also her new painting of the Cathedral South Door below (already sold).
