Conwy

Conwy harbour looking towards the castle is a timeless view through the wonderful old fishing boats, captured in this new watercolour painting by Julie Colclough.

This is another favourite sketching spot of Julie’s, and a wonderful place to sit with fish and chips while watching the world go by. She has been visiting since childhood, and continued the tradition by regularly taking her own children who particularly loved the castle.

Some of Julie’s earliest drawings and paintings were inspired by North Wales. During a week at the Menai Centre on a school art trip, Julie Colclough decided she wanted to be a full time artist. She soon achieved her ambition, and after 40 years of painting professionally, still loves sketching in North Wales.

The original painting of Conwy is beautifully framed by our bespoke framers and is now available in the gallery; frame size 30 inches x 23.5 inches (76cm x 60cm). £800
