Handbridge, the Old Dee Bridge

The sky over Handbridge and the Old Dee Bridge is different every day and provides endless inspiration for Julie. This view towards Handbridge will be recognised by anyone who has walked along the Groves or the Roman Walls along the River Dee.

This stunning original painting on canvas has just arrived from our framers and is available in the gallery or by international delivery.

THIS PAINTING IS ALSO FEATURED ON JULIE’S NEW CHRISTMAS CARD FOR 2022

Visit the gallery or contact us to reserve, order or enquire.

The current bridge was built around 1387 but an earlier bridge here was mentioned in the Doomsday Book. It is made with local red sandstone and each of the seven arches has different dimensions. Just five minutes walk from the Julie Colclough Gallery, it is one of our favourite places to walk and watch the world go by.
