Verona Arena, Italy
Julie Colclough’s original painting of Verona.
Julie was inspired by the stunning architecture and atmosphere around the Arena. This Roman amphitheatre is of course internationally famous for it’s opera performances. As always, Julie made some sketches on the spot to develop ideas on her return to the studio.
Built in AD 30 it is incredible to think this arena is still attracting audiences of 15,000 for spectacular performances such as Aida.
Julie Colclough’s original painting of Verona is now framed and available for purchase. £800
